According to Guinness World Records, Bobi, the world’s oldest dog, recently celebrated his 31st birthday at his home in the Portuguese village of Conqueiros.
Owner Leonel Costa, who hosted a traditional Portuguese party with over 100 attendees, was surprised that Bobi and his previous dogs lived well into their 30s. Bobi enjoyed a special meal of local meats and fish, as he only consumes human food.
The celebration also featured a dance performance, in which Bobi participated in one of the routines. According to owner Leonel Costa, Bobi’s longevity can be attributed to the peaceful and calm environment he has lived in. Unlike many dogs, Bobi has had the freedom to roam the surrounding forests without being chained or leashed.
Growing up among other animals, Bobi has always been sociable and never felt lonely.
