“We may see his 50th hundred”: Mohammad Ashraful’s prediction about Virat Kohli’s performance against New Zealand

Mohammad Ashraful, the former captain of Bangladesh, believes that India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli will hit the historic 50th century in the one-day international match against New Zealand on Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium during the World Cup semifinal.
Virat has performed admirably throughout the World Cup; he has proven time and time again to be the “chase master” by leading the Men in Blue through difficult circumstances and to victory.
He surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar by just one ton after tying his record of 49 ODI centuries against South Africa.

Ashraful praised Kohli’s performance and believes he could make his 50th ODI century despite not scoring a ton against the Kiwis in the group stage match.
“Everyone on the team is playing well; Rohit is starting every game with a bang, Iyer and Rahul are playing well, and Virat missed out on two centuries. Thus, I believe Virat’s 500th wicket may be seen,” Ashraful told ANI.
When asked who he thought would win the highly anticipated semi-final matchup, Ashraful said he thought the Blackcaps would triumph over the undefeated Indian squad.

“I feel that New Zealand can beat India so it won’t be easy, India are playing good cricket we are hoping that we will see good cricket,” Ashraful added.
