Video: Mongolian Acrobat Shoots Arrow With Legs At Paris Olympics

At the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony, Team Mongolia and Mongolian Acrobat captured global attention with their elaborately embroidered vests and traditionally accessorized uniforms, designed by Ulaanbaatar’s Michel & Amazonka. Adding to the excitement, a viral Instagram reel from @brutamerica showcased a remarkable display of Mongolian culture and skill.

WATCH THE VIDEO:

The reel, which has garnered over 81.6K views and 2,000 likes, features a Mongolian acrobat performing an extraordinary feat. In the video, a woman skillfully climbs two poles while balancing a bow and arrow on her left leg. As she reaches a steady position, she transitions into a scorpion headstand, drawing the arrow back with her right leg. With precision and control, she releases the arrow, which lands perfectly on the outer red section of the target.

The performance is accompanied by a gentle cultural tune played by three musicians, adding to the video’s captivating atmosphere. The reel has sparked a flurry of enthusiastic comments from viewers. One user praised the performance as “Magnificent,” while another commented, “Mongolia house kinda lit tho.” A third user humorously noted, “Mongolia won the Olympics without having to win a single medal.”

The acrobat’s performance is part of the “Mongolia House” project, launched by the Mongolian Olympic Committee. This initiative aims to showcase Mongolian heritage, culture, history, and traditions to an international audience during the Games. Mongolia House, which has been open since the Olympics began, will remain open until August 10, 2024. According to the Mongolian National News Academy, over 10,000 visitors have explored Mongolia House within the first three days of its opening.
