The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the indefinite suspension of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 due to the deteriorating situation between India and Pakistan. This marks a significant disruption in the country’s premier T20 tournament, which was already facing logistical challenges.
Just a day earlier, the PCB had stated that the remaining eight matches of the 10th PSL edition would be moved to the United Arab Emirates to avoid domestic complications. However, following the escalation of cross-border tensions, the board has now shelved all plans until further notice.
IPL Also Affected Amid Regional Unrest
The suspension of the PSL comes on the heels of a similar decision by Indian authorities, who halted the Indian Premier League (IPL) with immediate effect for one week. Both cricket boards are closely monitoring the evolving geopolitical situation, prioritising the safety of players and stakeholders.
Cricket fans across the subcontinent now face uncertainty as both premier T20 leagues remain suspended.
