Salman Khan attended the funeral of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) President Amol Kale on Wednesday, June 12. In a video circulating on social media, the actor was observed arriving for the funeral amidst stringent security measures. He appeared in a white shirt and blue jeans, paying his respects to Kale.
Amol Kale, the MCA President, passed away due to a cardiac arrest in New York, USA, on Monday (June 10). He had witnessed the Indian cricket team’s match against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Nassau County Stadium in New York on Sunday. Apart from Salman Khan, several others, including Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, were present at Kale’s funeral.
Salman Khan has been in the limelight since the shooting incident outside his Mumbai residence in April this year. Gunshots were fired outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Subsequently, reports suggested the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, as the gangster’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the incident via a Facebook post.
Concerns regarding Salman Khan’s safety were raised by his fans following the incident, leading to an upgrade in his security. Initially, the actor had two Personal Security Officers (PSOs). However, his security detail now includes two commandos, two escort vehicles, and 11 police officers under the Y+ category security. Additionally, personnel in the security convoy will carry two automatic guns. Mumbai police is actively investigating the case.
The President of the All India Bishnoi Society, Devendra Budiya, recently issued a statement suggesting that Salman Khan’s apology would be considered if he seeks forgiveness. He emphasized that the mistake was not made by Somy Ali but by Salman himself. Budiya proposed that Salman should apologize directly to the Bishnoi society, visit their temple to seek forgiveness, and pledge to work towards wildlife protection and environmental conservation to be considered for forgiveness by the society.
