Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant smashed a dazzling hundred in the team’s last match of the Indian Premier League 2025. Pant shredded Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Ekana Stadium on May 27, finishing his second century of the competition.
IPL 2025 Struggles and Record Price Tag of Rishabh Pant
Acquired by LSG for a record amount of Rs 27 crore in the super-auction prior to IPL 2025, Pant had a disastrous season. Low on confidence throughout the tournament, on Tuesday, he brought back memories of his class with a special 54-ball century against RCB, who were looking to finish in the top-two this season.
Pant hit 10 fours and 6 sixes on his way to his century just his second 50+ score of the season. It was arguably Pant’s best performance in recent IPL seasons. His previous century in the competition was way back in the 2018 season, where he scored an unbeaten 128 against SunRisers Hyderabad, a performance which is still the highest individual score by a Delhi Capitals batsman.
Iconic Backflip Celebration of Rishabh Pant
On Tuesday, Rishabh Pant marked his milestone with a commemorative backflip a first by him in any cricketing ground. The celebration with that backflip appeared to indicate that he was still on top and just experiencing a temporary dip in his career.
What a comeback — not just a return, but a somersault of confidence. 💥🔥 #RishabhPant

Pant’s Final Numbers for IPL 2025
Rishabh Pant concluded with 118 runs not out off a mere 61 balls. The batter concluded his innings with 11 fours and 8 sixes. The LSG captain concluded his IPL 2025 with 269 runs in 14 games, for an average of 24.45. He struck at a rate of 133.17, a number that was hugely supported by his last innings against RCB.
Pant’s century drained RCB’s hopes from their bid for the top 2 positions this year. RCB were eager to qualify in the top 2 positions since this would have provided them with a buffer of an extra match on their way to the final of the tournament.
