Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj are preparing for their wedding. Their relationship, which became public earlier this year, will soon take the next step. As per Dainik Bhaskar, their engagement ceremony is set for Sunday, 8 June, at a five-star hotel in Lucknow. The wedding will take place on 18 November at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi.

The wedding is likely to be a grand affair, drawing attention across political and sports circles. Many high-profile guests from India and abroad are expected to attend. Rinku Singh, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL, has also earned a name as a promising T20 finisher for India.
Meanwhile, Priya Saroj represents the Machhlishahr constituency in Uttar Pradesh. She was elected to the Lok Sabha in the 2024 general election on a Samajwadi Party ticket. Because of their public profiles, the couple’s celebrations are expected to include politicians, cricketers, film celebrities, and business leaders.
Priya Saroj’s Background
Priya Saroj belongs to a well-known political family. Her father, Toofani Saroj, has held several important posts. He served as an MLA from Kerakat and as an MP from Saidpur, Ghazipur, and Machhlishahr.
She studied law at Amity University, Noida. According to reports, she and Rinku met through a mutual friend whose father is a cricketer. Their bond grew over time and eventually turned into a romantic relationship. Once both families learned about it, they gave their full support.
“Rinku and Priya have known each other for more than a year now. They both liked each other but needed their families’ consent for the relationship. Both families have agreed to this marriage,” a source was quoted as saying.
