RCB captain Rajat Patidar recently spoke about the franchise’s unboxing event. He expressed deep appreciation for the fans’ support. Although he missed the 2023 season, fans still stood by him.
“Our unboxing event that day, the experience I had was different for me. And the way they accepted me as a captain, I really appreciate that. They have supported me for three to four years. Even when I didn’t play in 2023, I used to get messages saying I was missed. Seeing all that makes me feel good. I feel like everyone is supporting me. If the RCB fans are supporting you, you feel different. I feel good to play from here,” Patidar said in an RCB press release.
Despite Missing 2023, Fans Cheered for Him
In 2023, Rajat Patidar couldn’t play. However, that didn’t stop fans from sending him kind messages. As a result, he felt encouraged and proud to be part of RCB. Moreover, their love boosted his confidence ahead of this season.
Patidar Aims to Build Strong Team Culture
Moving forward, Patidar wants to lead with full involvement. He hopes to make every player feel at ease—whether they are experienced or new.
“The culture of RCB is one of the best, I will say. As Captain, I’ll try to give as much as I can in terms of involvement with my players. I want to create an environment where every player feels comfortable, relaxed, and confident in their ability. Whether it’s someone from the domestic circuit or a new player coming in, I want them to feel that they belong here, with no pressure. I’ll do my best to make sure everyone feels at ease and ready to contribute,” he said.
Therefore, his leadership will focus on trust, support, and communication. Additionally, he wants players to enjoy the game without any stress.
