In a recent update, victory bus parade of RCB after winning the IPL 2025 trophy, due to a public advisory by the Bengaluru Traffic Police, a felicitation event will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium today. The bus parade has reportedly been cancelled due to traffic safety and logistical concerns from the city traffic police department.
This news has sparked massive disappointment among fans all over the city, who were preparing a grand celebration of their first IPL trophy after 18 years. The felicitation event at the Chinnaswamy Stadium is scheduled for 5 PM, however, the entry has been restricted to fans with valid passes to attend the event.
Police Advisory To Prevent Heavy Traffic
The city police have also advised the public to avoid the Central Business District (CBD) area from 3 PM to 8 PM to avoid heavy traffic on roads and congestion. They have also encouraged the fans to use public transport to reach the stadium because of limited parking around the area.
“Due to felicitation function for RCB team at chinnaswamy stadium from 5PM to 6PM public are advised to avoid roads sorrounding vidhnasoudha and chinnaswamy stadium from 3PM to 8PM. There will be NO victory parade, Due to limited parking, public are advised to use Metro and other public transport.” The Bangalore Traffic Department posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Karnataka CM To Attend Event
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is also set to attend the felicitation event organised by the State government to officially honour the RCB players by the Karnataka government on the grand steps of Vidhana Soudha.
“There is a program today at 4 PM in Vidhana Soudha. I, along with the Governor and ministers, will participate in the program,” he said.
Heavy security has also been deployed outside the Bengaluru Airport, as a large mass of RCB fans have gathered to welcome the winning Challengers team bringing home the IPL trophy.
