Paris Olympics 2024: Indian Hockey Player Jarmanpreet Singh Opens Up About His Journey, Hockey India gave…

Talented Indian hockey player Jarmanpreet Singh has recently opened up about his difficult and arduous journey.

Despite being punished with two-year ban from senior Indian team due to failed dope test,  Jarmanpreet singh is set to make an appearance at 2024 Paris Olympics.

He credits his selection to his persistency and admitted, that the journey wasn’t easy.

Speaking about his journey, he said, ‘It was one of my darkest phases, with many uncertainties. Players don’t usually emerge from a setback like this. To sit out of matches for two years is a big gap in the sport.’

However, he was persistent and knew he had to climb back and for his comeback, he credited the strong domestic structure.

‘But I was persistent and I knew I had to bounce back. I don’t think I could have done this without a strong domestic structure where I could show the selectors that I still had it in me.’

He gave credit to hockey India for his career revival.

‘Hockey India gave me a chance to rebuild my career. I was selected for the national program for senior men where I was given an opportunity to catch up with my peers and make my Senior India debut. They saw that potential in me and I didn’t give up on my dream to play for India at the Olympic Games.’ said Jamanpreet singh.

Currently, the team is in Switzerland, where they are staying at mental conditioning camp. Jarmanpreet is excited to begin their campaign at 2024 Paris Olympics.

Meanwhile, India will start their campaign on July 27, 2024, where they will face New Zealand in their first pool B match at 21:00 Hrs.
