Pakistan Cricketers To Vacation In London Post T20 World Cup

Following their disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam, along with Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Azam Khan, have opted to spend their vacation in London before returning home.

According to a report, it has been confirmed that, along with the rest of the team, the six players will not be arriving in Pakistan on Tuesday as initially planned.

The players mentioned earlier have plans to travel to London with the primary purpose of spending quality time with their friends and family. Moreover, a few of them are contemplating the idea of taking part in local leagues within the UK.

Pakistan’s lackluster performance in Group A of the T20 World Cup culminated on Sunday with a narrow victory over Ireland, securing the win by a mere three wickets in their last match of the group stage.

Assistant coach Azhar Mahmood and head coach Gary Kirsten will go to their respective homes in the meantime. According to the report, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed the coaching staff to return to their home countries since they do not have any upcoming engagements scheduled.

Pakistan finished third in their group during the tournament, narrowly missing out on a Super Eight slot. In contrast, India and the USA secured their spots by finishing first and second, respectively, despite both teams having accumulated four points from their respective four games.

Before their impressive victory over Canada by seven wickets, they faced defeats against arch-rivals India and the co-hosts, the United States.

In August, the highly anticipated two-match home Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is set to take place. Following this, in October, cricket fans can look forward to England’s scheduled tour of Pakistan, promising exciting matches and memorable moments on the cricket field.
