Miller Backs LSG to Deliver Against Top-Ranked Titans in IPL 2025

As Lucknow Super Giants gear up to face Gujarat Titans in their next IPL 2025 match on Saturday, batter David Miller shared some thoughts on the team’s journey. According to him, the team struggled with pressure at the beginning of the season. However, they have now figured out how to win matches.

Lucknow stay in sixth place while Gujarat leads the table

Currently, Lucknow Super Giants hold the sixth spot on the points table. So far, they have won three out of five matches and earned six points. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, sit at the top. They have won four out of their five games. The upcoming match will be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Miller highlights team’s growth

During the pre-match press conference, Miller praised his team’s fighting spirit. He said the squad has handled tough situations well. “The games that we have won, we’ve kind of found ways to win, been under pressure with our bowling and batting at certain stages and getting through that and still winning, so for me that’s the encouraging part for the team,” he said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

LSG won a thriller against KKR

Earlier this week, Lucknow Super Giants pulled off a close win against Kolkata Knight Riders. The match took place at Eden Gardens and ended in a last-over thriller. LSG won by just four runs.

To begin with, LSG batted first and posted a massive total of 238 runs. Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten on 87, while Mitchell Marsh scored 81. Their powerful batting gave the team a strong foundation.

In reply, Kolkata Knight Riders fought hard. Ajinkya Rahane scored 61. Venkatesh Iyer made 45. Rinku Singh remained not out on 38, and Sunil Narine added 30. Despite their efforts, KKR could only reach 234 runs and fell short by four runs.
