Liverpool Parade: Will Jurgen Klopp Join the Premier League Trophy Celebration? Date & Route Details

Liverpool claimed the Premier League title after defeating Tottenham 5-1 at Anfield on Sunday. The Merseyside club has matched Manchester United’s record of 20 Premier League titles with the victory. Arne Slot and co will now have a trophy parade, celebrating in the streets with fans.

Dominic Solanke started the match for Tottenham on Sunday ahead of Liverpool, but they responded with goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, and Cody Gapko before halftime. Mohamed Salah scored an additional goal, and Destiny Udogie’s own goal brought Liverpool to 5-1.

The 20-time champions needed just a point to be crowned champions in front of their home supporters.

When and Where will Liverpool stage their Champions Parade?

The Premier League parade will take place in Liverpool on Monday, May 26, which is a bank holiday. Currently, there is no idea when the parade will begin. Previously, it started at 4 PM local time in 2022.

Will Jurgen Klopp attend the parade?

Klopp departed Liverpool last year, having managed the Reds for nine triumphant years. The previous boss and 2020 Premier League winner revealed that he will go to the parade. The German gaffer will be in attendance at the LFC Foundation annual gala dinner on Friday, May 23, and will likely join fans and players at Anfield to watch Liverpool’s last match of the season against Crystal Palace.

Back in March, he said: “Yes, the plan is [to be there for the celebrations] but not on the bus. I will be there where the people are. That’s the idea, but we will see. I will be there for the last game. I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it! They win all the time and I’m the first time in the stadium and they lose! So, I’ll go there when it’s decided.”

Liverpool Parade’s Potential Route

Details have not been revealed yet. In 2019 and 2022, the celebrations began at Allerton Maze in south Liverpool, before reaching Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street and The Strand. The parade ended at Blundell Street.
