In response, Delhi Capitals required 160 to win, and the pursuit was led by KL Rahul, who made a calm 50 out of 40 balls, with two sixes and three fours. KL Rahul’s decent score was essential for DC, as he kept the pursuit going despite patches of pressure. He was ably supported by Abishek Porel, who made a brisk 51 out of 32 balls. Their alliance took DC to a dominating position, the pursuit appearing simple.
Axar Patel also contributed an excellent cameo, going unbeaten at 34 runs off 18 balls. His late cameo won it for DC, who achieved the target with 13 balls remaining. Rahul scored the winning six, a perfect conclusion to a goodly constructed pursuit.
