IPL 2025 Final: Drake Bets It All On RCB Defeating PBKS

Rapper Drake has shocked fans by placing a massive $750,000 bet on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to win their first-ever IPL title, backing them to beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2025 final.

Tonight, we will witness, for the first time in eight years, two teams that have never won the IPL fighting it out in the finals to win the esteemed title. However, what has made this contest even more exciting is the international attention it has garnered.

Drake Supports RCB

Drake shared his bet slip on Instagram, showing potential winnings of over $1.3 million if RCB pulls it off. The phrase “Ee sala cup namde” – meaning “This year, the cup is ours” – is trending again, and even Drake joined in, despite cricket not being well known within his mass international audience.

RCB and PBKS have both been chasing their first IPL trophy since the league began in 2008. It’s been almost a decade since RCB last made it to the final, with Virat Kohli leading the charge again this year, scoring over 600 runs. On the other side, PBKS, under Shreyas Iyer, look just as dangerous.

Celebrities’ Reaction To The RCB VS PBKS Final

Along with Drake, many celebrities have shown excitement over the anticipated final game. Many celebrities, such as PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta, Jannat Zubair and Aahana Kumra, are rallying for PBKS to win as they believe in the underdog story, whereas celebrities such as Angad Bedi, Kubbra Sait and Rahul Vaidya are supporting RCB as they all want to see Virat Kohli finally lift that trophy he’s longed for 18 years now.

It will be a full house of 125,000 fans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, with all the fans hoping for a thrilling game.
