IPL 2025: Complete List Of Players Retained By Teams Before Mega Auction, Featuring Rohit Sharma And MS Dhoni

The ten IPL franchises have made public the retained players as the mega auction is slated for next month. As per the decision of the IPL governing council, each franchise has been given the facility to retain six players in the form of retention or the Right to Match.

This would help them in retaining their core team, and from the six players, five can be capped, whether Indian or overseas, and up to two can be uncapped. All speculations regarding retained key Indian players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Mohammed Shami are clear now.

Teams will form new teams around retained players in the mega auction that is expected to happen in the last week of November.

Here’s the full list of players retained by each IPL franchise ahead of the auction:

MI Retained Players: Jasprit Bumrah (18 crore), Suryakumar Yadav (16.35 crore), Hardik Pandya (16.35 crore), Rohit Sharma (16.30 crore), Tilak Varma (8 crore)

Chennai Super Kings

CSK Retained Players: Ruturaj Gaikwad (18 crore), Matheesha Pathirana (13 crore), Shivam Dube (12 crore), Ravindra Jadeja (18 crore), MS Dhoni (4 crore)
