A PCB source mentioned that one proposal under consideration is to rest senior players and give opportunities to uncapped or less experienced players. However, no final decision has been made, as the ultimate team selection will be decided by Masood and Gillespie. Additionally, the PCB might consult with white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten on strategies for the ICC Champions Trophy scheduled for February-March next year.
