Djokovic’s coach, Ivanisevic, says he has software in his mind that works during Grand Slam

Novak Djokovic scripted a new history in men’s tennis by winning the 23rd Grand Slam title at the French Open. His coach, Goran Ivanisevic, expressed that he was not really concerned about Djokovic’s chances at Roland Garros despite a 5-3 start to the clay-court season, saying that the player “has a software in his head” that causes him to switch during grand slam events.

The Serb once again showed his class and outclassed Casper Ruud in three straight sets, grabbing his 23rd major title more than anyone else. He emerged champion on six occasions out of the last eight Grand Slam titles in which he participated. The day we arrived here, he was better, he was more motivated, he was more hungry,” Ivanisevic said, as quoted by ATP after Serbia’s win in the final.

Djokovic’s game has been improving. I thought that against Alcaraz for one and a-half hours, he played unbelievably smart tennis. And today he just finished what we started actually in Monte-Carlo, to practise, and now it’s payday. We cashed the cheque,” he added.

During the trophy ceremony, the Serbian alluded to the difficulties he had given his team.

“He chained us with handcuffs for three days,” Ivanisevic said, smiling.

He played unbelievable tennis on Sunday against Ruud and never gave him any chance to come up in the match. The Serb clinched the match in three hours and 13 minutes and created a new history.
