2021 Commonwealth Youth Games deferred

To avoid clashes between the games, Commonwealth Youth Games 2021 will be postponed possibly to 2023 as Tokyo Olympics are being postponed to next year, the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) announced on Friday. The event was earlier scheduled to take place From August 1 to 7, 2021 in Trinidad and Tobago. The Tokyo Olympics, originally scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 9, 2020 was postponed to July 23 to August 8, 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The CGF said that it could now be looking at 2023 as a potential year for holding the Commonwealth Youth Games.
