Cristina de Miguel’s solo show ‘About Last Night’ leaves you spellbound and thinking. The female leads in the paintings of the artist leave you mesmerised with their antics which are energetic and expressive in their own way. ‘About Last Night’ consists of eight paintings and is an ode to freedom. The sensation one gets when activities that make you feel free, be it dancing, yoga, surfing, running, skating, meditating, watching the sun rise or painting are performed. The Spanish born artist who lives and works in the States is showing her works (many are of the female body being the main protagonist) for the first time at V1 Gallery in Denmark. The exhibition which opened on June 3 continues till August 12.

Timeless Coast: ‘Pacific Time Out’ Exhibition
Also, at the same venue is ‘Pacific Time Out’ an exhibition by artists Frederik Nystrup-Larsen and Amanda Lydért. The artworks are a series of loaded visual timeline presenting wall hung works generated from a three months’ time out on the pacific coast. Just like travel memories the works vary in size and media the show comprises of mixing drawing, painting, poetry, photography and found objects. Amanda Lydért like Frederik, lives and works in Copenhagen. Her work primarily deals with text, digital print, painting and sculptural installation. The duo have been exhibiting together for a few years now. The exhibit will be for viewing till August 12.

Radiant Figures: Eder’s Elysium”
Must see. Martin Eder’s Elysium on view till July 1 at Galerie EIGEN + ART in Berlin. Light plays an important role in Eder’s pictures, they glow from within. Usually unclothed human figures or animals with fur or feathers stare back at us from the paintings in over fifty pastel shades. The artist also showcases himself in some works, taking on a spiritual attire. Interesting, and yet different.
