In another instance of mass shooting in the USA, a man opens fire at a supermarket in Arkansas. Thus, killing three people and injuring various people.
As per Arkansas’s State Police Director Mike Hagar, the shooter Travis Eugene Posey also acquired injuries during encounter with police.
Among the officials, two officers also got injured after exchanging fire with the suspect.
This mass shooting took place at 11:30 a.m. at Fordyce’s Mad Butcher grocery store. According to Hagar, around 11 civilians were shot and out of them, 3 lost their lives.
‘Unfortunately, we can confirm that 11 innocent civilians were shot, and three of those are deceased. Two law enforcement officers were injured in the exchange of gunfire. The suspect was also shot and taken into custody.’ said Hagar.
As for two officers, fortunately, their injuries were non-life threatening. But among civilians, some were in extreme critical condition.
Currently, the Shooter Posey has now been arrested under the charges of three counts of murder and Some of his charges remain pending.
