UAE Floating Hospital Enhances Medical Services In Gaza

The UAE Floating Hospital in the Egyptian city of Al Arish, established under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, has announced the addition of new specialized medical staff, including neurosurgeons and maxillofacial and dental specialists. This initiative is aimed at providing top-tier healthcare services to the Palestinian population in Gaza.

Dr. Ahmed Mubarak, Director of the Floating Hospital, emphasized that the hospital is continually enhancing its capabilities and medical resources to ensure it is fully prepared to deliver high-quality medical services, including examinations, treatments, and follow-ups, to Palestinian patients. He noted that the addition of neurosurgery, maxillofacial, and dental departments will significantly contribute to the hospital’s mission of offering comprehensive healthcare services under one roof, supported by a team of dedicated specialists and experts.

Dr. Mubarak highlighted a recent complex surgery performed on a Palestinian patient who had suffered a leg injury from an airstrike fragment, which resulted in a broken leg and severed nerve, causing foot immobility. The medical team successfully redirected the tendons from the back to the front of the ankle to restore foot movement.

Additionally, the hospital continues to provide prosthetic limbs to those injured and who have lost limbs during the conflict in Gaza. A specialized medical team is assigned to measure patients and manufacture fitting prosthetics while concurrently offering physical therapy and psychological rehabilitation.

This expansion aligns with the hospital’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare delivery, ensuring that patients receive the highest standards of medical care and support, in accordance with the UAE leadership’s directives.
