UAE: 69% Of Emirati Employees Optimistic About Job Opportunities This 2024

American multinational analytics and advisory company Gallup has recently released their new survey findings, which reveal, that around 7 out of 10 UAE employees, which is 69 percent, are optimistic about finding new jobs this 2024.

The findings of these surveys come around the time, as UAE’s economy continue to witness high growth. As a result, there is an increase in job creation at newer sectors, which now stands at 10%.

As per Gallup’s latest State of the Global Workplace, emirati employees are more positive in comparison to MENA and global countries, whose percentage respectively stands at 36 per cent and 15 per cent.

Meanwhile from the last three years, the country’s non-oil sectors such as travel and tourism, hospitality, real estate and retail continue to perform tremendously well, as their growth has crossed the threshold of pre-pandemic levels.

Thus, attracting companies to set their business from abroad and as a result, it has created new job opportunities for UAE’s young people.

Moreover, UAE employees also believe, that they are witnessing better growth than their global peers in their careers. Which according to the survey stands at 50%, which is 16% higher than worldwide average.

As for employee engagement, among MENA regions, UAE’s workplace remains most engaged, as they witnessed an increase of two points in comparison to previous year.

Thus, surpassing the global average by 23% and maintaining the lead in the region by 14 percent.

As per Gallup’s leading partner Andrew Rzepa from Europe, Middle East and Africa division, he stated,

‘UAE companies are steadily improving workplace engagement and reducing employee negativity. With UAE’s favorable job market, leaders now have a unique chance to capitalize on this momentum by enhancing employee engagement and wellbeing.’

Coming to Workplace stress, around 33 percent of UAE workers experience stress, which is lesser than their middle east counterparts, which stands at 52%.
