Sudan: Indian Troops Achieve Victory in Tug of War Against Chinese Counterparts

Indian troops serving in Sudan under a UN Peacekeeping mission triumphed in a Tug of War competition against their Chinese counterparts, as reported by Army officials. The event, which has gained viral attention through a video, highlights the exceptional camaraderie and competitive spirit among the soldiers.

In a show of physical strength and teamwork, the Indian troops displayed impressive determination and secured a significant victory over the Chinese team. The competition, while friendly, was highly spirited.

The viral video, verified by Indian Army officials, has attracted considerable attention.

The United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) was established by the UN Security Council through Resolution 1590[1] on March 24, 2005. This followed the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the Sudanese government and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement on January 9, 2005.

UNMIS’s objectives include supporting the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, performing functions related to humanitarian assistance, protecting and promoting human rights, and supporting the African Union Mission in Sudan.
