Nikki Haley Mourns Father’s Death On Father’s Day

Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley shared sad news on Sunday, announcing the death of her father, Professor Ajit Singh Randhawa, on Father’s Day. The news came through a heartfelt social media post where she described him as the “smartest, sweetest, kindest.” In a touching tribute, Haley posted a photo hugging her late father.

My heart is heavy knowing he is gone,” Haley expressed on social media. She remembered him as a pillar of faith, hard work, and grace, and celebrated his 64-year marriage, his role as a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and his dedication as a father to his four children.

Earlier in March, Nikki Haley, the first Indian American to serve in a presidential cabinet, announced her withdrawal from the Republican presidential race, wishing Donald Trump ‘good luck.’ Her father had been battling cancer, and both of Haley’s parents had moved from India to rural South Carolina in 1969.
