India and Oman recently concluded the 6th edition of Staff Talks between the Indian Navy (IN) and Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) in New Delhi from June 4 to 5, as per the Ministry of Defence. The discussions aimed to bolster the defense ties between the two nations in maritime affairs. Cmde Jasim Mohammed Ali Al Balushi led the RNO delegation, while Cmde Manmeet Singh Khurana headed the Indian delegation.
These talks, focusing on common maritime security challenges, operational collaboration, information sharing, and more, highlight the strong bilateral relations and strategic maritime partnership between India and Oman. The visit also included interactions at IFC-IOR, Gurugram, emphasizing Oman’s significant role as one of India’s key partners in the Gulf region.
