Abu Dhabi’s Department Of Finance Hosts 2025 Budget Cycle Event

The Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi organized the 2025 Budget Cycle event, emphasizing its pivotal role in creating an innovative financial ecosystem that supports economic stability and prosperity.

The event saw substantial participation, with over 450 attendees representing more than 60 government entities across the emirate, including Undersecretaries, Director Generals, and senior officials. Participants discussed various innovative initiatives in budgeting and resource allocation, essential for sustainable economic growth and community well-being.

Key insights were shared on preparing the 2025 budget, focusing on meticulous planning, fiscal responsibility, and efficient resource allocation. The 2025 Budget Cycle establishes the framework for government priorities through optimal resource allocation, revenue diversification, and prudent spending policies. These efforts support economic and social development priorities, benefiting citizens, residents, and visitors alike.

The event featured interactive sessions with representatives from the Department of Finance and notable speakers from the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, the Department of Health, the Department of Economic Development, the Integrated Transport Center, and other relevant government entities. The first session focused on budget review, while the second session addressed expenditure review. A dedicated discussion explored mechanisms to enhance financial cooperation and collaboration between the Department of Finance and various government entities.

Buthaina Al Mazrouei, Director General of Government Financial Affairs, commented, “We were pleased with the outcome of the event, which aimed to advance financial efficiency and strengthen the fundamental principles of transparency within the financial sector. Our objective is to foster collaborative strategic engagement between the Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi and the government entities, ensuring sustainable economic growth and the prosperity of our community.”

The event, hosted at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, included several interactive sessions and activities for participants, encouraging them to offer innovative insights and take actionable steps towards achieving the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance’s vision for a prosperous and sustainable financial ecosystem.
