After entering politics after 26 years, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi had to appear before the media for the first time at the party headquarters due to the deteriorating financial situation of the party. She launched a scathing attack on the Modi government at the Center. Although she spoke for only a few minutes, the way senior leaders of the party came forward makes it clear that the party has become quite weak financially. It is certain that this will have an impact on the upcoming elections.

Secondly, it is also believed after this press conference that the party has realized that there will be no improvement in the situation in the general elections this time. Therefore, the party has made financial difficulties an issue.

It is understood that with an eye on the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress is planning to change its strategy by making the freezing of accounts along with the electronic voting machines a big issue. It is the first time that Sonia Gandhi had to come forward in this way in favor of the party. While the party was engaged in the selection of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, today the party waved the flag for several states. The party organized a big press conference amid the CEC meeting.

Along with Sonia, her son and former president Rahul Gandhi and current president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed serious allegations against the Modi government, casting doubt on the impartiality of the upcoming elections. The Congress argues that political parties never pay income tax. The BJP has never paid taxes. The Congress sees this as a deliberate action. It is detrimental to democracy.

The Congress alleges that the Rajag government is economically weakening the Congress, affecting the party’s electoral campaign. Sonia Gandhi also made limited remarks accusing the NDA government of deliberately weakening them economically to influence the elections. She said, “All the accounts of the party were seized. In such a situation, the party will not be able to contest elections. This is fatal for democracy.”

Rahul Gandhi said that criminal action is being taken against us. The Prime Minister and the Home Minister are orchestrating this. There is no democracy left in the country. No one is saying anything. Every institution has its role, but not everyone is saying anything. It is clear that democracy is not left in the country.

Even though Congress is becoming aggressive now, it came to this situation due to the mistake of its strategists.
