On Sunday, Congress President Sonia Gandhi spoke to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel over telephone and inquired about the preparations in the state to deal with the third wave of Covid-19. She took stock of the cases of Omicron variant in the state. The Chief Minister assured her about the preparations.
Concerned about the increasing cases of Covid-19 in the country, the Congress President inquired about the availability of hospital beds, oxygen in the state.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has assured the Congress President about the preparations to deal with Covid-19. He said that all necessary arrangements are in place in the state. Although corona is spreading again in Chhattisgarh, but till now the Omicron variant has not been confirmed in the state. The Chief minister said “We are fully prepared to deal with this. The government is engaged in prevention through tracing and testing”. On the phone, Gandhi also inquired about the working of the government.
