Punjab DGP has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT), on the orders of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, to carry out a probe into the attack on the relatives of cricketer Suresh Raina in Pathankot.

Ashok Kumar, the cricketer’s uncle, died on the spot while his son Kaushal succumbed to his injuries on Monday. Three other family members were injured, including Ashok Kumar’s wife, Asha Rani, who is reported to be in critical condition.

 DGP Dinkar Gupta said that the case has been registered at Police Station Shahpur Kandi (Pathankot), where the incident took place on 19th August in Village Tharyal.
