Sidharth Malhotra looks suave as cop in sneak peek from ‘Thank God’

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 31 (ANI): Dressed as a cop, Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra on Sunday shared a sneak-peek from his upcoming film ‘Thank God’.
The ‘Student of The Year’ star hopped on to Instagram and shared a stunning picture, as he shot for a sequence of the film.

In the picture, Malhotra looks suave as he is seen dressed as a police inspector posing for the picture in a police patrol car. The actor is seen sporting a trimmed beard and moustache, while he channels his swag with black aviators.
Quipping that he’s on the way to meet filmmaker Rohit Shetty (who has been directing cop movies including Singham, Simmba, Suryavanshi), Malhotra wrote in the caption, “Just on my way to say hi to Mr. Rohit Shetty( with wink emoticon)…P.s – Sneak peek from #ThankGod.”
Celebrity followers including Ranveer Singh and more than 2 lakh fans liked the post on the photo-sharing platform.
The ‘Simmba’ star Singh also commented, “hahahahahha (lovestruck and red heart emoticons)”.
‘Thank God’ that also stars actors Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh went on floors on January 21. The shoot for the comedy film commenced in Mumbai.
The T-Series Films and Maruti International production is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit, Markand Adhikari and co-produced by Yash Shah. (ANI)

After Emmy, Catherine O’Hara takes home Golden Globe for ‘Schitt’s Creek’

Washington [US], March 1 (ANI): Canadian-American actor Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) took home the Golden Globe 2021 for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series- Musical or Comedy’.
She had earlier also won the Emmy 2020 award (Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series) for her role in the Canadian sitcom ‘Schitt’s Creek’.
‘Schitt’s Creek’ is a Canadian television sitcom created by Dan and Eugene Levy. The series follows the trials and tribulations of the formerly wealthy Rose family when they are forced to relocate to Schitt’s Creek, a small town they once purchased as a joke.
In Golden Globes 2021, American comedy-drama film ‘Soul’ won the award for ‘Best Motion Picture- Animated’. Soul’s co-director Kemp Powers became the first debut Black filmmaker to win Animated Feature Golden Globe.
The 78th Golden Globe Awards is taking place nearly two months later than normal, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cinema and television.

Washington [US], March 1 (ANI): Following a two-month delay, the much-anticipated Golden Globes Awards 2021 kicked off on Sunday. For the first time in history, hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey conducted a bicoastal virtual ceremony by hosting from two different locations.
Although the event is virtual, it is time for the celebrities to bring their fashion A-game and despite the limitations due to the novel coronavirus, one still got to see the best of Hollywood flaunting their style on the red carpet. Check out some of the looks here:
Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland looked her fashionable best in a stunning red Monique Lhuillier gown at the 2021 Golden Globes.

Margot Robbie

Daniel Kaluuya wins first ever Golden Globe

Washington [US], March 1 (ANI): British actor Daniel Kaluuya took home the Golden Globe 2021 for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Motion Picture, for his performance in the ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’.
John Boyega also won a Golden Globe this year for his performance in the TV Show ‘Small Axe’. He won the award in the category o Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Supporting Role.
‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ is an American biographical drama movie about the betrayal of Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya), chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party in late-1960s Chicago, at the hands of William O’Neal (Lakeith Stanfield), an FBI informant.
Kaluuya essayed the role of Fred Hampton in the movie. Judas and the Black Messiah gained two nominations in this year’s Golden Globes — Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Song.

Jared Leto kicks off Golden Globes with tousled hair, cable knit sweater

Washington [US], March 1 (ANI): Even with the Golden Globes taking place virtually this year, celebrities are treating their fans with stunning pictures of them dressed to the nines. But actor Jared Leto’s hair might be the early style MVP of the 2021 Golden Globes.
The actor showed off his signature, ombre, chest-length strands and debuted a ’70s-inspired mustache in an Instagram selfie with the caption, “Just because we’re doing the #GoldenGlobes from home this year doesn’t mean I couldn’t get all dressed up for the camera. Don’t miss the show TONIGHT at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC. @goldenglobes.”

In the snap, Leto looks handsome in a navy cable knit turtleneck, posing with his arms crossed and flashing his best ‘blue steel’ face for the camera.
Leto is up against Sacha Baron Cohen (The Trial of the Chicago 7), Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah), Bill Murray (On the Rocks), and Leslie Odom Jr. (One Night in Miami) for best-supporting actor in a motion picture.
“It’s a classic thriller with a surprise ending that’s filled with suspense and mystery. I think people will have a lot of fun watching Little Things. It takes you on a ride,” Leto told People magazine of the film, in which he plays a suspected serial killer, in December.
“Working with two Oscar winners was a dream. Denzel Washington is my Brando. He’s an absolute legend and a force of nature. Rami is remarkable. One of my favorite actors around and both were an absolute pleasure,” he added.

Carey Mulligan wears heels for first time in 18 months to celebrate Golden Globes

Washington [US], March 1 (ANI): The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has meant more time at home for everyone with people becoming habitual of wearing their most comfortable set of clothes and flats. And celebrities are no different! Actor Carey Mulligan, who is dressing to impress this Golden Globes, recently revealed that she wore heels for the first time in 18 months.
While celebrating the Golden Globes, the actor was able to watch the show from the comfort of her hotel room. Before finding out if her movie ‘Promising Young Woman’ won big, Carey appeared on ‘Live From the Red Carpet’ and couldn’t contain her excitement, reported E! News.
“I’m in London in a hotel, which is a very welcome break from being at home,” she told E! News.
Spilling the beans about her getting all dressed up for the ceremony, she said, “This is my first virtual red carpet. This is the first time I’ve worn heels in a good 18 months I think.”
Carey is up for Best Actor in a Motion Picture–Drama, thanks to her performance in ‘Promising Young Woman’. And while she would be thrilled to take home a trophy, Carey also believes her director Emerald Fennel deserves lots of credit.
Carey recalled, “Oh, my goodness. When I heard that she was nominated, I almost cried. I just think it’s so richly deserved. I mean, it’s amazing to see the recognition of all the women in that category. It’s so right.”
And while this year’s award season looks incredibly different partly because of the coronavirus pandemic, Carey is still focusing on all the good that came out of the past 12 months including the power of community.
She explained, “In the worst of times, our communities have really come together and the people close to you and your neighbors, that really matters. I really saw that throughout the country and just people really coming together and looking after people who need it.”

Elle Fanning channels her modern-day Cinderella at 2021 Golden Globes

Washington [US], March 1 (ANI): Just because the Golden Globes are being held virtually this year doesn’t mean the stars won’t be getting glammed up! American actor Elle Fanning, who plays Princess Aurora in ‘Maleficent’, looked like a modern-day Cinderella at the 2021 Golden Globes.
The actor showed off her Gucci dress, designed by Alessandro Michele, on Instagram ahead of the award ceremony.
She posted a photo of herself looking regal as ever in the baby blue silk-dress. The star captioned the post, “Dressed up for a night in for the @goldenglobes Thank you to my beautiful hair and makeup team on the show @erinayanianmonroe and @glynnlorraine They transform me into Catherine every day on set and are a part of this special day!”

The team behind Hulu’s ‘The Great’ also helped to capture the picture-perfect moment, with Fanning in her caption sharing that she and photographer Gareth Gatrell “had such a fun time taking these photos” of her in the stunning dress and Fred Leighton jewelry.
And, as always, the actress gave Alessandro a shout-out, captioning the post, “I heart @gucci forever.”
As per E! News, Fanning is currently in London, where the cast is filming season two of ‘The Great’. She told E! News’ Giuliana Rancic that she is a bit of a night owl, but she is also “running on adrenaline” making the time difference a bit less difficult to manage.
She and co-star Nicholas Hoult are both up for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in their respective categories at this year’s Globes.
