MUMBAI: Manmeet Kaur plays the character of Mona in the mega-hit Shershaah where she has starred with Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. She has now signed a Punjabi film called Tu Judaa and we saw some lovely shots of the film. The cast includes Malkeet Rauni, Raj Dhaliwal, Gurpreet Kaur Bhangu, Mahabir Bhullar amongst others. The film is directed by hitmaker Inder Sohi and we can’t wait for the film.

Tu Judaa is already garnering huge anticipation and it’s a clear purple patch for the power-packed performer Manmeet Kaur.

The Daily Guardian spoke to Manmeet Kaur on working for Shershah, her bonding with Siddharth and Kiara, and the movie’s response.

Manmeet has been excited to the response the film has gained, “I am just humbled to see the response to Shershaah. We have literally given our heart and soul to the movie. I can’t thank the cast and crew of it enough. The audience has loved it and it’s humbling to see the response to the project which it rightly deserves as it’s a film on such a huge war hero. Tu Judaa will be my next. It’s a Punjabi film and it has just started. I am not in a position to say anything about it currently. It’s a project that the audience will have a great time watching is all I can say. I am grateful to the audience for the acceptance and the love they showered on me. The time is now to act and get vaccinated. Let’s stay safe and win this war against the deadly virus.”

On bagging the role of Mona in Shershah, Manmeet said, “I got this role through auditions. I was locked by Vishnu Varadhan sir and the dharma team. They really liked me. I got to know 400+ girls auditioned for it.”
