SHARAD PAWAR: THE SUCCESSFUL CURATOR OF ‘FAILED EXPERIMENTS’

No other person than Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar can be more suited for the title of being a ‘successful curator of failed experiments’. A politician who strives to be in the talks for his skills of curation is the NCP supremo, however, the talks revolving around him are often short-lived as every action lacks massive credibility which is very well known to the people of this country.

An informal meeting of political leaders and former members of Parliament was recently held at the NCP chief’s Delhi residence. The alliance which they prefer to call the National Forum comprises the people from the pseudo-secular brigade in this country often exhibiting baseless and biased intolerance at regular time intervals.

While leaders having attended the meeting have claimed this to be based on no particular agenda, the intentions of these leaders are well known to the nation which is nothing but something against our developing and evolving nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Besides the fact that all the parties who met at Pawar’s residence in Delhi oppose the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Another commonality in them is that no party has the virtue of credibility and the people of India have outrightly rejected them and their so-called pseudo intentions.

This meeting rather exposes the compulsion and frustration of these parties for the struggle they face for their respective survival. In the pursuit of this, Sharad Pawar, being the senior-most amongst them, indeed is a good face to be the chief of their futile ‘Margadarshak Mandal’.

However, the only fact that these parties have turned oblivious to is that Pawar lacks credibility, which is the quintessential quality of being the captain of the ship.

If we have to quote a few amongst many instances of how Sharad Pawar has been awarded the title of uncertainty and unreliability, his betrayal to his own political guru Late Yashwantrao Chavan is the best example. To fulfill his greed of being in power, he betrayed his own guru and formed a new front and took over the reins.

In 1999, Pawar questioned the foreign origin of Sonia Gandhi and parted ways to form a new party, and ever since he is in alliance with the same Congress party.

Voters of this nation may be silent for the lack of the opportunities of being vocal but they surely are not blind. They voice their opinion silently by exercising their right to vote. In the last 21 years, Pawar’s NCP has failed to win more than 50 seats in the state of Maharashtra in the Assembly elections. This is the embodiment of the fact that the people of the nation cannot be influenced by their respective whims and fancies.

Except for the fact that NCP has the word ‘Nationalist’ in its name, there is no other ideology to the party. You cannot garner credibility without having a certain ideology. Moreover, if the only ideology is to be in power, then the people of this nation shall never let such a party come into power independently, and NCP is a classic example of it.

On the contrary, if the examples of regional political outfits coming to power are analysed, BSP, Samajwadi Party, AIADMK, TMC have proved that they can form their own government. Sharad Pawar has got everything such as experience, political understanding, administrative expertise, etc. However, he lacks the most important ability, which is credibility.

They say, ‘Rashtra Manch’ will be a platform that will include everyone who has a vision for the country’s development and future, whether it’s a political party, social organisation, or a person. Rashtra Manch will also include those in India and abroad who think about the country.

It is surprising to see such senior leaders, like NCP chief Pawar being at the forefront, but having no connection to the sentiments at the ground level amongst the people of India, and then claim of being political leaders.

People of this nation do not need a different vision for the country as they have imposed their faith in the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. People of this nation believe in the ideology of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas’.

In 2014, the nation witnessed a transformation in the electoral political system with the Bharatiya Janata Party getting a thumping majority in the general elections. Post the five-year term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when his consecutive victory was certain, all the political parties once again posed a united front.

The only agenda of this front was opposing the Modi government. One must not forget, even then NCP chief Sharad Pawar had played a crucial role in getting all political outfits together. By virtue of his seniority and experience, he could manage it then.

However, the ‘Successful curator of failed experiments’ often forgets to infuse credibility in his projects. A united opposition front only strengthened BJP’s resolve and Prime Minister Narendra Modi received even more blessings from the people of this nation.

The moral of the story is ‘No credibility, no acceptance!’ I wonder when a senior politician like Sharad Pawar will accept the fact that being the hot cake for a few days for the prime-time news does not make you a national leader. And besides, when your competitor is someone like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the walk to nefarious political ambitions becomes even harder.

The nation over the past seven years has been privy to the politics of honesty and accountability. In the most difficult of times, we have ensured stability and progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

The times of breaking the nation have gone. The time of building the nation together has come. And as long as people have faith in the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, such tales of failed curators will continue to persist in Indian politics.
