Several reports suggest that he is working on a film titled “King,” which also stars his daughter, actress Suhana Khan. Although Shah Rukh has not officially confirmed the news, a recent video seems to have inadvertently confirmed the reports.
Shah Rukh shared a video congratulating cinematographer Santosh Sivan on receiving the prestigious Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens award at the Cannes Film Festival. While fans were moved by Shah Rukh’s message, many noticed the script of “King” placed on the table beside him. The script displayed the film’s title along with some unclear details. The video quickly went viral, with many anticipating another blockbuster in the making.

“King” has been rumored to be in production for several months. Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is reportedly directing the project, with Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures serving as one of the producers. Initially planned as a prominent cameo role for Shah Rukh Khan, recent developments indicate that he will now play a leading role alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan.
According to a report from Pinkvilla, Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh have been in constant communication with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, holding multiple meetings from October 2023 to February 2024. Sujoy has been meticulously working on the script with Siddharth and Shah Rukh, focusing on designing world-class action sequences.
Regarding the film’s plot, a source revealed, “The flavor of action in ‘King’ will be very different from what SRK has done in ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan.’ This one would be sleek, with a lot of chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and driven by the story. It has lots of twists and turns, which is the reason why Sujoy has been bestowed with the responsibility of direction.”
