A lot of senior police officials and employees were found involved in bribery cases in Haryana in 2021 which led to their suspension and dismissal from the service. Even on the last day of the year 2021 , several police officials including a DSP and an ASI along with three police officials and employees had been suspended due to taking bribes and casual approach towards their duty respectively. In wake of their irresponsibility and involvement, they were put under suspension immediately. Thus, such officials taking bribes are a menace to the department and continue to bring humiliation and spoil the image of the police officials as well as the department.

A DSP rank official and Jail Superintendent named Shamsher Singh Dahilya has been suspended from Jail in a corruption case. Along with this, orders have also been given to chargesheet him under Rule 7. Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Rajeev Arora has issued orders to suspend Shamsher Dahiya on charges of corruption. He said that during the suspension period Shamsher Singh Dahiya’s head office would remain as the Director General of Jails, Haryana, Panchkula and he would not be able to leave the station without the permission of the competent authority. During the suspension, the officer will be entitled for the subsistence allowance as admissible under Rule 85 of Haryana Civil Services (General) Rules 2016. Prior to this, a senior IPS official named Dheeraj Setia was suspended for his involvement in a bribery case which is the indication of the worsening portrayal of the image of the department. The STF has reportedly found evidence about his involvement in the case and added a section of the Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 411 of the IPC in the FIR against him.

In continuation to this, the Home Minister Anil Vij has ordered the suspension of an ASI along with three three police personnel after they failed to perform his duty properly and failed to bear his responsibility in a case. Anil Vij was heading the public grievance meeting in Sirsa and while listening to the complaints of commoners, he found four of the police personnel responsible for a delay in a case and inquiry which led to harrash the commoners. Apart from the aforesaid, a BDPO was also suspended in the same as he failed to meet the expectations regarding his duty.
