Following stone throwing during the Eid Milad procession in Shantinagar-Ragigudda on Monday, the Shivamogga district administration in Karnataka imposed section 144 in the limits of the Shivamogga Mahanagara Palika. The situation is now under control, according to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and 40 people have been detained thus far in connection with the incident.
