Season 2 of Bigg Boss OTT recorded the highest viewership with 2.3 crore viewers, who streamed the entire live telecast in India. The show ended with well-known Bollywood actor Salman Khan, hosting the last and final episode that got more than 72 lakh views on JioCinema app. The grand finale episode was streamed by total of 2.3 crore viewers. The show ended with YouTube sensation Elvish Yadav wining the trophy with a cash prize of 25 lakh. According to sources, time when voting lines were open for another 15 mins received 25 crore votes to vote for the two finalists- Elvish and Abhishek, has recorded 245 crore video views in 8 weeks.
Press statement released by JioCinema showed the show registered 245 crore views with 540 crore votes during the period of 2 months, Bigg Boss OTT2 streamed on the platform. After IPL, it claimed highest viewership in India for live streamed event. The High-octane season hosted by Salman Khan was viewed by over 10 crore Unique Viewers and clocked close to 3000 crore minutes of watch Time. Various states contributed in the viewership such as Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and others. The top 5 finalists were Elvish, Abhishek, Bebika, Manisha and Pooja. Other participants included Jiya Shankar, Avinash Sachdev, Jad Hadidi, Aashika, Falaq Naaz, Cyrus Broacha, Akanksha Puri, Aaliya Sidiqui, Palak Purswani and Superstar Puneet. Except from Puneet, everyone attended the finale episode. Parents of the top 5 were also present.
