CMF by Nothing has officially launched its latest smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The phone was launched at an event held in New Delhi on the evening of April 28. The event was live-streamed on CMF By Nothing’s YouTube handle. The company’s CEO, Carl Pei, addressed the crowd at the keynote and unveiled the latest offering by Nothing.
The phone brings a refreshed design and promises major camera upgrades and a host of improvements over its predecessor. The brand, a sub-division of London-based tech firm Nothing, also announced during the event that it has been recognised as the fastest-growing smartphone brand for five consecutive quarters.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro stands out with a slimmer and lighter body, measuring just 7.8mm thick and weighing 185g. It’s 5% thinner than the first CMF Phone, offering a more comfortable grip without compromising on build quality. The phone also boasts an improved IP54 water resistance rating, making it slightly more durable for everyday use.
Buyers can choose from four stylish colours: White, Black, Orange, and Light Green. Each variant has its own distinctive finish, from a frosted glass-like back on the Black and Light Green models to a textured sandstone finish on the White option. The Orange version, meanwhile, goes bold with a metallic sheen.
Photography has taken centre stage with the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It features a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor that captures 64% more light than before. There’s also a 50MP telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom, as well as an 8MP ultra-wide lens for expansive shots. Selfie lovers will appreciate the upgraded 16MP front camera.
Powering the device is the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, delivering faster speeds and improved efficiency thanks to its 4nm manufacturing process. The 5000mAh battery promises nearly two days of use on a single charge, lasting an hour longer than the previous model.
The display has also seen a significant upgrade. The 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen can showcase 1.07 billion colours, offering more vibrant visuals. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and a peak brightness of 3000 nits, which is 50% higher than its predecessor.
The modular design of the CMF Phone 2 Pro means users can further personalise their device with new accessories, such as a universal cover, interchangeable camera lenses, and a wallet/stand.
Pricing for the CMF Phone 2 Pro starts at ₹17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and ₹19,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version, inclusive of bank and exchange offers. For a limited period on 5th May, the phone will be available for as low as ₹16,999. It will be sold via Flipkart, Vijay Sales, Croma and other major retailers.
As CMF continues to grow, the Phone 2 Pro positions itself as a compelling option for those looking for a stylish yet powerful mid-range smartphone.
