HP recently unveiled the OMEN MAX 16 gaming laptop in India and it is equipped with Nvidia’s recently-launched RTX 5080 GPU. HP is calling this device its “most powerful gaming laptop yet”, designed to cater to India’s rapidly expanding gaming community.

HP launches OMEN MAX 16 gaming laptop
Powered by Intel’s 24-core Ultra 9-275HX processor and NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, the OMEN MAX 16 is capable of drawing a combined 250W of power. HP pairs this with a dual-fan cooling system, heat pipes, a large vapour chamber, and a hybrid liquid metal compound to maintain optimal temperatures even during heavy usage.
A key highlight is the introduction of OMEN AI, a first-of-its-kind one-click performance optimiser that learns from gaming habits to deliver better frame rates, reduced latency, and smoother gameplay. The new Unleashed Mode lets users push the system to its performance limits with intelligent AI tweaks.
Omen Max 16 top specifications
The laptop sports a 16-inch 2.5K IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate and full sRGB coverage, ensuring immersive visuals for AAA gaming. Additional features include up to 64GB DDR5 RAM, a 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, and lag-free connectivity with Ultra Low Latency Gen 3 tech.
On the design front, users can choose between Ceramic White and Shadow Black finishes. The laptop includes per-key RGB lighting and an optional RGB light bar, all customisable via OMEN Light Studio.
In line with HP’s sustainability goals, the OMEN MAX 16 uses recycled metals, ocean-bound plastics, and sustainable packaging materials.
OMEN AI Beta is also rolling out worldwide for supported OMEN devices.
