London-based tech brand Nothing is gearing up for another splash — but this time, it’s not the flashy Glyph lights doing the talking. Its sub-brand CMF is set to unveil the CMF Phone 2 Pro today, and the excitement around it is palpable. While the official announcement is just hours away, leaks and teasers have already painted a fairly detailed picture of what to expect. Here’s a rundown of everything we know so far and how you can watch the livestream of the same.
Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro launch: How to Watch Livestream
The livestream for the CMF Phone 2 Pro by Nothing will start at 6:30 PM today (April 28). If you want to watch the event, you can head over to CMF by Nothing’s official YouTube channel for the same. You can also check CMF by Nothing’s official X (earlier called Twitter) handle for updates.
A Bold, Customisable Design
Staying true to Nothing’s design-first philosophy, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to arrive with a standout look. The phone is likely to offer vibrant, solid colours and a customisable rear panel. Nothing has already unveiled a bold, orange colour design that grabbed attention when its photos made way on social media. Apart from that, another variant in white was also unveiled, showcasing a unique granite-like texture.
If leaks are to be believed, the phone may feature a removable back, allowing users to swap covers easily or even add accessories through a proprietary connector.
Specs That Punch Above Their Weight
On the hardware front, the CMF Phone 2 is rumoured to pack a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate — something usually reserved for pricier phones. Powering the device could be the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, a notable step up from the entry-level processors usually found in budget models. Paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage options, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to offer a snappy and reliable performance, whether for social media, light gaming, or everyday multitasking.
Photography enthusiasts will be interested to note that a 50MP main rear camera is on the cards, coupled with a secondary depth or macro sensor. Meanwhile, a 16MP selfie camera is expected to sit at the front, housed in a small punch-hole cutout.
Battery, Charging, and Software
The CMF Phone 2 is likely to sport a 5000mAh battery — now becoming standard for mid-range phones — along with support for 33W fast charging. Nothing OS 2.5, based on Android 14, is tipped to run the show, bringing a clean, minimal interface that fits the brand’s aesthetic.
As for durability, there’s chatter about an IP52 rating, meaning the phone should handle minor splashes and dust reasonably well, but don’t expect full waterproofing at this price point.
Pricing and Availability
Nothing has been aggressive with CMF’s pricing strategy, and the CMF Phone 2 is expected to follow suit. While final pricing details are yet to be revealed, tipster Yogesh Brar had said that the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to be priced at ₹18,999 for the base variant. The higher-end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage may be priced at ₹20,999. Additionally, buyers might benefit from a ₹1,000 bank discount, effectively bringing the starting price down to ₹17,999.
The phone will launch today alongside two other CMF products: the Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2, expanding the brand’s growing ecosystem. Keep watching this space for more updates.
