The creators of ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ unveiled the ‘Azadi’ song on Monday.
The ‘Azadi’ track, featuring a star-studded cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh, is anticipated to serve as a heartfelt tribute to India’s uncelebrated heroes—the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence.
In ‘Azadi,’ Sanjay Leela Bhansali showcases his signature grandeur through opulent sets, stunning costumes, and masterful composition. A M Turaz’s poignant and emotionally stirring lyrics add depth to the production. The exceptional vocal performances by Archana Gore, Pragati Joshi, Arohi, Aditi Paul, Tarannum, and Aditi Prabhudesai further accentuate the musical excellence of “Azadi.”
The sweeping saga of ‘Heeramandi‘ encompasses themes of love, authority, retribution, and liberation, unfolding amidst the backdrop of India’s struggle for independence in the 1940s. Netflix is set to release the series for streaming on May 1st.
