NEW DELHI: Actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Sana Khan got married to cleric Mufti Anas in Surat on 20 November. Mufti is a young religious scholar from Gujarat. Her photos and videos in a white wedding gown with a hijab went viral on social media recently wherein Sana and her groom, who was seen in white kurta-pyjama and jacket, were walking down the stairs together. They were holding hands and, at the end of the clip, the two sat down with family members and cut a chocolate cake together on which “Nikaah mubarak” was written.
Sana shared the first wedding picture on Sunday on Instagram. She was dressed in a red bridal lehenga and jewellery whereas Mufti wore a white suit and was sitting next to her. Sana wrote, “Loved each other for the sake of Allah. Married each other for the sake of Allah. May Allah keep us united in this Duniya and reunite us in jannah. Fabi ayyi ala-e rabbekumaa tokazzebaan. Which of the favours of your lord will u deny #sanakhan #anassayed #nikah #married #20thnov #alhumdulillah.”
Sana had announced in October that she will be quitting her acting career to spend her life in the service of humanity and following the orders of her ‘creator’.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with ‘Yehi Hai High Society’ went on to star in ‘Halla Bol’, ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Wajah Tum Ho’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. Sana participated in ‘Bigg Boss 6’, ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 6’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7’ among other reality shows.
