After being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition Myositis, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has opened up about her health condition. As she gears up for her forthcoming Telugu thriller, Yashoda, Samantha spoke about her health condition and broke silence about her recovery. While clearing the air, she said ‘she’s not dying anytime soon’. She also mentioned that how relentless she is about her recovery. Recalling her journey while battling the condition, she also said that she is not at a ‘life-threatening’ stage and expressed her dissent on media coverage in regards to her health.

During the interview, she spoke in detail about her condition.  “As I said earlier, there are some good days and there are some bad days. On some days, getting up from bed is difficult. And on some days, I want to fight. Slowly, the days I want to fight are becoming more. It’s been three months now. I want to clarify that I am not dying anytime soon. I saw many articles that I have a life-threatening condition. No, I don’t. It’s an autoimmune condition. It’s draining and tiring. I’ve always been a fighter and I will fight.”

When asked about her recovery journey, she said, “I wish I wanted to say that I used the time productively. It was dark times and very difficult. With high-dose medications and never-ending trips to doctors, my day was occupied. It’s okay if you cannot use every day productively. It’s okay to fail sometimes. It’s okay to not be your best all the time. You can be vulnerable and sick.”

Few weeks back Samantha was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition Myositis. She took to instagram and announced about her diagnosis and how she is coping with the same. She is all set to be seen next in Hari-Harish’s Yashoda which is a telugu thriller and will hit the theatres on 11 November.
