Now the Prasad of Sawamani to be offered in Salasar Balaji (Rajasthan) will be prepared in the jails of Haryana. Desi ghee laddus will be prepared by prisoners/prisoners in the jails of Hisar,Mahendragarh (Narnaul) and Bhiwani, adjacent to Rajasthan. Not only this, other sweets will also be made in jails. There is also a plan to set up counters outside the jails for the sale of sweets and bakeries made by the prisoners.
The jail department is preparing a detailed draft, which will be sent to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The jail department will implement it after getting the approval of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Salasar Balaji has a lot of recognition in Haryana. Apart from Haryana, people from other states also visit Salasar. There is an old belief of placing a prasad of Sawamani here. People perform Sawamani after their wishes are fulfilled.
Apart from desi ghee laddus, peda prasad is distributed here. For this, three districts have been selected because they are adjacent to Rajasthan. Not only this, the laddus made in jails will be made available to the people at about thirty percent less than the market rate. The prisoners who construct these will also be given wages for this, which will increase their income.
The bakery of Ambala Jail is quite famous. Similarly, in many jails, Imarti, Jalebi, gram flour barfi and other sweets are made. The department plans to set up counters outside the jails so that common people can taste the sweets and bakeries made by the prisoners. The Standing Committee of the Parliament has also praised Haryana for the improvements made in the jails of Haryana and the facilities provided to the prisoners here. Recently, this committee under the chairmanship of former Deputy CM of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi had inspected Bhondsi (Gurugram) jail. After the inspection, Modi commented in the visitor’s book of the jail that the facilities in the jails of Haryana are better than in homes.
