Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, renowned as one of the greatest batters since Sir Don Bradman, celebrated his 51st birthday. Over his illustrious two-decade career spanning from 1989 to 2013, Tendulkar, dubbed the ‘Master Blaster’ for his exceptional batting prowess, enthralled cricket fans worldwide with his mastery of every cricketing skill.

Making his debut in Test cricket at just 16 years old in 1989, he quickly became a stalwart in both Test and ODI formats. With a staggering 34,357 runs in 664 international appearances, including 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries, Tendulkar holds the record for the highest run-scorer in international cricket, a feat unmatched by any other player. Notably, he is the only cricketer to achieve a century of centuries.

Beyond his monumental achievements in Test cricket, Tendulkar also left an indelible mark in ODIs, amassing 18,426 runs, including 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries. His accomplishments include being the first player to score a double century in ODIs and to participate in 200 Test matches.

Tendulkar’s crowning moment came in 2011 when he was part of the Indian team that clinched the ICC Cricket World Cup, fulfilling a lifelong dream. While he fell short in securing an ICC Champions Trophy, Tendulkar’s contributions in ICC events, particularly in World Cups, remain etched in cricketing history. From his debut in 1992 to his final appearance in 2011, Tendulkar showcased his brilliance, consistently delivering standout performances, although victory in the finals eluded him.
