Sachin Pilot, a prominent figure in the Congress party, currently finds himself in a political quandary over his future actions. He’s been implicated in a self-imposed political conundrum by voicing specific demands against the Congress-led government in Rajasthan. The buzz in the media suggests that Pilot may establish a new political party on June 11, although this claim remains unconfirmed.Congress’ State in-charge, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, is certain that Pilot will maintain his ties with the Congress. Pilot, the former PCC chief, failed to gather the support he anticipated when he opposed his own party’s government in Rajasthan, with his demands failing to resonate with the public. Accusations of corruption Pilot made against former CM Vasundhara Raje lack substantial evidence. Agencies are currently proceeding against individuals implicated in other cases mentioned by Pilot.
In contrast, Rajasthan stands out as the first state to take significant action against those implicated in the paper leak and cheating scandals, resulting in the incarceration of several accused parties. Additionally, Pilot advocated for the dissolution of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).
However, the truth remains that only the President of India has the authority to dissolve the RPSC, and state governments have no role in this matter. Political analysts suggest that Pilot raised these issues in a burst of overzealousness, causing a lack of interest among the public. Despite the high command’s intervention, Pilot remains steadfast in his views, primarily to uplift the spirits of his supporters. Yet, he finds himself uncertain about his next move. Recent developments in the political landscape, particularly the Congress’s victory in the Karnataka polls, have altered the status quo. This victory has bolstered the Congress party, making it more challenging for Pilot to launch a new party.
The Congress party leadership prefers Pilot to refrain from any activities potentially detrimental to the ruling party in Rajasthan. With hopes of retaining their government in the upcoming assembly polls later this year, they remain optimistic about Pilot’s future role within the Congress party
