S.J. Jananiy Releases ‘Nari Shakti’ Track On Eve Of International Women’s Day To Celebrate Girl Power

Singer-composer says new song is dedicated to all women who fulfil their responsibilities towards their family and inspire everyone around.

With the objective to celebrate various attributes of women power, award winning singer and composer S.J. Jananiy has released the track “Nari Shakti” on the eve of International Women’s Day. This track emphasizes that woman is a powerhouse she is an epitome of love and compassion, one who integrates the world, the vital force of the universe. A quote from Sanskrit shlok says, “Yatr naaryastu poojyante, ramante tatr devtaa” from Vedas, which means where women are respected and worshipped, God resides there. This emotive Indian Pop track in Raag Darbari (Hindustani Classical Music) is a combination of Indian melody and rhythm instruments with pop elements. S.J. Jananiy has played violin for this track.

In a candid conversation “Kalai Maamani” awardee S. J. Jananiy says, “This song is a tribute to women through music. This track is a combination of Raag Darbari and pop music. This song is dedicated to all women’s who fulfil their responsibilities towards their family and inspires everyone around. Lyrics have been wonderfully written by Janak Kaviratna from Mumbai. Bass Guitar has been played by Kieth Peters.”

In the year 2019, Pradhaan Mantri Rashtriya Baal Puraskar awardee S.J. Jananiy received Kalaimamani award from then Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami Singer and composer S.J. Jananiy is currently working on multiple projects with global collaborations. She recently received awards at the Global Music Awards 2022, U.S.A. She wishes to explore various genres of music.

S.J. Jananiy is also working on Thirukkural song and has composed 100 verses out of 1330 verses. Apart from that she is also working on Sen Tamil Naadenum, Mahakavi Bharathiar’s song with traditional Tamil folk and pop. Music video and song ‘Nari Shakti’ is available on all major steaming platforms.
