Due to the corona-induced lockdown in India, schools and colleges have been closed and students are reliant on online classes for their education. This has brought a huge challenge for children living in backward and forest areas and in an effort to help them, the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas (SSUN) has decided to provide tablets PCs to the needy students after identifying them through a survey.

Due to lack of infrastructure and the cost involved, the underprivileged section of students, especially Dalits or those of forest origins, are not being able to participate in the classes. The SSUN, which is a body of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is conducting a large survey in remote areas to economically help the underprivileged students. Atul Bhai Kothari, senior campaigner of the Sangh and national secretary of SSUN, said, “The field of education has also been affected by the pandemic. Under these circumstances, the educational environment is affected and the future of children is at stake. Therefore, modern technology is being used to impart education. That is why we are doing a survey.”
