The Royal Enfield Rider Mania, now called the Motoverse is an annual congregation of Royal Enfield owners held in Goa every year. In each edition the brand either launches or unveils new models and this year was no different. The big news that came out of Motoverse this time was the market launch of the all-new Himalayan. Along with the adventure bike Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 too made its global debut in Goa.

Th new Himalayan has been launched at a special introductory price of Rs. 2,69 lakh, ex-showroom which is valid till December 31, 2023. It has been launched with a lineup comprising 3 distinct variants – Base, Pass and Summit and a palette of 5 colors inspired by the elements of the Himalayas- Kaza Brown (base variant), Slate series comprising- Poppy Blue & Himalayan Salt (Pass- mid variant) and Hanle Black & Kamet White (Summit- top variant).

According to Royal Enfield, the motorcycle adapts to various terrains quite easily, making it an ideal companion for both seasoned adventurers and riders new to the off-road experience. With more power and torque than before, it gives good low-rpm performance with brand’s first liquid-cooled engine, the new 452cc Sherpa mill. A new six-speed gearbox now does the duty on the motorcycle and a ride-by-wire feature, ensures better delivery of power and torque forchallenging terrains. The all new Himalayan also comes with new TripperDash for navigation and over 30 new Genuine Motorcycle Accessories.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650
Royal Enfield also unveiled a one-of-its-kind, custom-inspired roadster- the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition at the event. While the continuous production motorcycle will be launched early next year, the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Editionis a limited release, custom-designed colourway, only 25 of which will be available for sale. The bike was made available exclusively for the Motoverse community, and is priced at Rs. 425 lakh (ex-showroom).Delivery of these 25 motorcycles will begin in January 2024, and these 25 customers will be the first owners of the Shotgun 650 globally.

Built on Royal Enfield’s 650-Twin platform, the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition is a tribute to the culture of customisation.Its custom-designed, hand-painted body panels feature a carefully crafted gradient and neon detailing that makes it very exclusive. Featuring a modular design, the Shotgun 650 is capable of transforming from a classic single-seater to a dual-seater to a weekend tourer in quick time. Its tight proportions and low-slung silhouette allow for planted handling with optimum ergonomics, according to the brand.

The tank on the bike is similar to the SG650 concept, and it also get unique ten spoke wheel rims with integrated ABS. The front suspension features upside down forks and an aluminium top yoke with low-rise extra-wide handlebars. At the rear, twin shocks are mounted to the chassis loop, with a hand-stitched black leather floating solo seat. The Shotgun 650 is built on the brand’s 650cc platform and the engine is a blacked-out 650-Twin which is paired with a custom exhaust system. The motorcycle comes preloaded with bespoke accessories such as bar end mirrors and LED black indicators.
