The ongoing controversy over Lulu Mall does not seem to near its end anytime soon. On Tuesday, four persons were arrested in the matter under the sections 153A (1)/341/505/295A. The arrested accused include Mo Rehan, Atik Khan, Abdul Qadir, Mo Noman. The police arrested these four on the basis of surveillance. The search for five people is still on in this case.

Ruckus erupted at the Lulu mall again on Tuesday when Acharya Paramhans Das of Ayodhya tried to forcefully go into the mall. The police detained the Mahant at the gate itself but this enraged the Mahant. He questioned that if people are being allowed to go inside the mall by wearing a cap then why is he not being allowed to go wearing saffron. He further said that if this is the centre of jihad, then lock it.

Commenting on the ongoing row in a debate on India News, Scholar Fazil Ahmed said that all of this is being done to affect the business of goods. Ahmed further said that when Kavad are not being stopped, then why are prayers are being stopped.

Taking note of the Lulu mall row, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday pulled up the administration and directed them to take strict action against the miscreants who create nuisance. His remarks came after a video sparked a controversy in which some people were seen offering namaz inside the Lulu mall and protests followed.

“Some are making unnecessary remarks and staging demonstrations, to obstruct the movement of people. Lucknow administration must take the matter very seriously,” said CM Yogi.

He also stressed that a shopping mall should or a business establishment should not be a political breeding ground. “Miscreants attempting to create such nuisance should be dealt with strictly,” he added.

Earlier on Friday, the Uttar Pradesh Police detained three people from Lucknow’s Lulu Mall for allegedly attempting to recite Sundarkand inside the mall premises.

As per police officials, the three arrested people belonged to Hindu Samaj Party. They were detained at the mall’s entry gate. Speaking to ANI, Rajesh Srivastava, ADCP South, Lucknow said, “Three people were detained from the entry gate of Lulu Mall in Lucknow for allegedly attempting to recite Sundarkand inside the mall premises. Three people of the Hindu Samaj Party were detained at the mall’s gate. Currently, there’s a peaceful situation.”

On 15 July, an FIR has been registered against unidentified persons amid the row over namaz inside the recently inaugurated Lulu Mall in Lucknow, police said.

The FIR has been registered under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the complaint of Shishir Chaturvedi from Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. This comes after a video went viral in which some people can be seen offering namaz inside the mall. The mall was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 10 July.
